Introduction:
TBE buffer (Tris-Borate-EDTA Buffer) is a commonly used DNA electrophoresis buffer, commonly used in PAGE gels, but also in agarose gels. When the resolution requirement of electrophoresis is not high, both TAE and TBEcanbeused. When the resolution requirements are relatively high, TAE is suitable for electrophoresis of lower concentrationgelstoimprove the resolution of large molecular weight nucleic acids, and on the contrary, TBE is used to improvetheresolution of small molecular weight nucleic acid with the use of higher concentration gels. This product is a 10× concentrated solution, which needs to be diluted to 1× or 0.5× working concentration according to the requirements of the experiment before use.
Storage: Store at 4℃ for 12 months.
Protocol (for reference only):
1. Prepare 1× TBE: Dilute 100 mL of 10× TBE running buffer with 900 mL of deionized or distilled water. Label as1× TBE.
2. Prepare 0.5× TBE: Dilute 50 mL of 10× TBE running buffer with 950 mL of deionized or distilled water. Label as 0.5× TBE.
